I've never really believed in air conditioning. It's always made my bones
really sore anyhow (I don't know why).
For the few times that I'd actually use it I find the $12,000 price tag
for whole house A/C a little steep. A window unit is definitely affordable,
but it's a lot of work for just a few days a year. Again, maybe I'll do
it for Romeo if he looks sad enough. :)
I haven't done much today. Just picked up some stuff around the house and
worked on my deck lights a little. I have to admit that I'm proud of
those things, though. I took outdoor landscape lights and fashioned a
right angle out of copper tubing and welded it to a mounting plate. The
whole thing is painted to match the original lights, so nobody should be
able to tell.
The only problem was cutting the mounting plate -- I didn't have the right
tools, so they're not as perfect as I'd like. Hopefully nobody will notice,
though. :) I'll send pics when they're done.
Chris (who's babbling from the heat)
