It is most certainly a pretty color, Theresa.  And if you can keep it
contained, I'll bet you get a lot of enjoyment from it.

Here is a picture that I found that reflects the purple color of mine.  
I also learned that it is what makes the sliced, jarred , ginger used for
sushi that bright pink color!
