Re: weather NOW Perilla


While the wild form of perilla is the bane of my gardening life, the hybrid didn't last a season. Go figure.

Ceres, I thought those ornamental Perillas, like Magilla and those that followed were crosses of Perilla and Solenostemon. Maybe not Magilla, but many of the others. Know anything about that?

I do like its color & its smell. I was very relectant to try the
ornamental Perilla (which many people confuse it as a coleus) when I came out

ago. I did try it but only in a container.
