I need to do some of that as well, Theresa. We inherited all of my
husband's families photos (more boxes than I want to count) and I want to
put them on a DVD. Our scanner is old and very slow, so it will take quite
a bit of time. Once scanned onto the DVD, we want to make several copies
and send them out to the Morgan side of the family, especially the great
nieces and nephews, with explanations of what the pictures are about and the
time frame they were taken embedded with the photos. Knowing your family
history can help one understand so many things.
I'd like to do the same on my side of the family, but since my brother
disposed of all of mother and dad's photos, that just isn't possible.
Blessings,
Bonnie (SW OH - zone 5)

Well- that is good to know. Frustration got the better of me and we went
and got my husband a new monitor and I took his old one. He's happy, and
I've spent most of the evening making digital recordings from the late 60's
reel-reel tapes my dad made, and simultaneously scanning old photos. Same
plan for tomorrow, since it is still supposed to be a zillion degrees out.
