Not cooler here. 96 degrees and really high humidity. All of my stuff wilts in the day and then perks back up when the sun goes down. And it's not August yet, OY!

Yes it looks like maybe it will be cooler here too. Only 92 so far and there
is a pretty good breeze. I have great hopes for the day.
I sprayed my tomatoes with summer oil last night, you are not supposed to do
that when it's above 90, but the thrips are really bad. And since they are
not making little tomatoes anyway - too hot - I had nothing to lose. Perhaps
this will keep the foliage going until it's cool enough to pollinate again,
and I'll hope for a very late frost.
The poor roses are trying to bloom but the blossoms open and then wither up
almost immediately. Sigh.

It is only 64 degrees this AM and we are only supposed to reach 100!
Yeah!!! Maybe this weekend I'll get out to see what all in the garden has
fried to a crisp, and what just needs some trimming back to make it more
presentable again. Oh, and my crinum sent up a second flower stalk! What a
crazy plant in all this heat it decides to bloom more!
