Re: calla lilies

I dug some today but I don't feel like I got all of the bulb. I put some in a pot with potting soil but they really looked stressed. Sheri do you want me to try to send some now or wait until they go dormant and dig the bulb to send then? I am thinking it might be more successful when they go dormant.

Up until now I've just been moving around the "clumps" of reseeded babies I am getting every year. I really must divide my most mature plants this year, and I'm going to use your method when I get there.

I need to thin out my calla lilies. Any recomendations on how to do this? They are in a bed that has a brick retaining wall around it and is inside the patio. I am guessing just dig up and split then put them right back in with the leaves attached. They are falling over and didn't bloom well this year.
