Re: scanning
too cool... I had no idea you could do that. Makes me want to try.
I am back to dragging water hoses again. It was fun this spring when we had
so much rain that I didn't have to water at all.
It still isn't as hot as it can get but we still have time to get there. It
is in the 90's and usually by now we have had some over 100 days. None so
far this year.
My husband just asked me if I would like to move to Missouri but close to
Kansas City. Doesn't some one live close to Kansas City?

Just remove the top of the scanner.
Place flowers on the glass (remember, you are working from the BACK, so
place face down)
And scan.
Save or send to a photo program to edit. I brightened my photo a bit.
With no white top to capture the light and reflect it, the light from the
scanner diffues to black as it goes out into the room. Flat flowers like
Rudbeckia do better than very 3-D flowers like tiger lilies with their
recurved petals. You could do any sort of collage, not just nature.

and very easy. though I should have removed the pollen b4 placing on the
glass. You could do vegetables, foliage, flowers, whatever. And with a
higher resolution you might even make frameable art.
