Hi again, I think that if you use some bleach anddribble it into the joints and crossings, leave it for a while then rinse it with water it will take care of the mildew. Also some of the KILZ products have a mildewcide in them, take a look at the label. Good luck, Rich

Hi Kitty, Would it be possible to tip the chair so that you just worked on horizontal surfaces? This would take several partial applications; it's a technique I've used for stripping items in the past. Also I've thinned the deck cleaner with no apparent harm. Whatever you do, use a long handled brush so your exposed skin doesn't come in contact with the deck cleaner. Kilz would be an excellent primer for your project.
