OK I know this sounds naove, but where would one go about obtaining diesel
oil? Are we talking from a diesel pump at the gas station? THANKS!

A useful [but somewhat tedious] way to kill a persistent plant without
risk of contaminating the soil is to carefully paint the growing tips
with diesel oil. I've used this method to kill Brazilian pepper stumps
when nothing else seemed to work or was deemed too dangerous to try.
