Rates go up as we age; seems some of the systems that help clean out bad cells start breaking down like other parts of the body.

cancer seems to be rampant lately. various people at work, my kid brother 
w/ the thyroid cancer last fall (he's ok) and dad w/ the kidney cancer (just 
had surgery a few weeks back, gets his pathology tues.) it's turning into a 
real epidemic. don't know what's up w/ that.
