Well, Bonnie It is like poisons build up in your system when you are not active in the garden. At least for me... you have to be out there working them out. Along with the demons. Don't think I would have made it through my two bouts with cancer in the past 2 years without my garden. There are so many things you can take to the garden that you cannot take to your relationships with humans. Some things can be buried right along with compost in the garden, and left there. My garden likes me just the way I am each and every day. Lots of weeds pulled today. Thinking about new area in my rock garden, working out the design. Gene E. Gene, I think it is good to stay active. I had a terrible time with lymphedema; went to a therapist; got a glove & sleeve and exercises. But, the thing that helped the most was doing rotator cuff and yoga exercises in addition to the lymphedema ones; haven't had to wear the sleeve & glove for almost a month. Our bodies were made to move and, if you are like me, gardening also does much to relieve the stress which also is not good for cancer or most other disease. This morning I spend around 30 minutes cleaning up the gardens along my front brick walk. When done, I try to post a picture and we can fun comparing. I love to see differences in the way people produce the same thing and always see it in our quilting guild. Well, Kitty Since you are female your statement could be very true... I am a better man than you. But, not necessarily a "better" anything. Actually I do feel better if I get out in the mornings and be active in my gardens. Come back in for the rest of the day. I have too many projects that are "almost finished". Need to stay active.
