RE: buddleia, butterfly bush
I have 2 planted in the nastiest spot- clay and road gravel- next to a
sidewalk. They both are growing and blooming. One is Black Knight and the
other I can't recall- Nahno Purple I think.
This is sort of a mystery- i figured they could grow in anything. The one I
left at my old house is taller than the 8 ft fence and blooming too.

Well they must loathe clay because I couldn't get them to come back.
Gave up after two trys. Put good ol' reliable dayliles in that bed
instead.
