Re: Jesse's computer now cat dental care
Well, Uncle Hugh (the vet) has had lots of practice and he knows how to wrap
a tight towel that even Sugar couldn't escape. I remember the first time I
took Braveheart in - a strong, wiry, feral cat. He actually climbed the
wallpaper to the ceiling with his claws. But Uncle Hugh got hold of him and
snugged him up in a towel and there's been no problem since. I understand
anesthetic for a 4 yr cleaning, but I believe if they were cleaned every
year, they wouldn't need the anesthetic. And I think it's better for the
teeth and gums to be examined and cleaned more frequently. Nothing I say
will change how it is done anywhere else; I'm just glad that my vet does it
this way.
