RE: time to vent! Singles vs. Couples...

There is plenty of room in our "society" for all kinds of folks. I never
thought of singles as less than married couples. Variety and
diversification makes this country thrive. I'm a married woman still madly
in love with her husband, despite my own defects and his near perfection.
LOL!!! Just kidding. He's a great guy and we do talk and make compromises.
We do share each other's joys and problems.

But, I know that isn't for everyone. For some folks, they are better off
living alone than with someone who makes them miserable or is abusive to
them every day of their time together.

Bill had three "old maid" great aunts that their nieces would talk about
some. But then one of the nieces decided she didn't need the company of a
man either and has led a very independent and fulfilling life on her own.
(I especially like Aunt Ruth because she's nearly as short as I am! LOL!!!)

Blessings,
Bonnie

As for women mowing the lawn, if they want to, why not?
That's one of my favorite activities. I have a riding lawn mower and use
the
time spent in mowing to listen to books on tape or just think. I do not
have
a husband by choice and have found I can do anything any of mine ever did;
plus, I like my results better. The bottom line is I do things to please
myself, my cats and my dog, and I like living the way I do considerably more
than I
liked the compromises of marriage. BTW, I'm 62 and, as you might have
guessed, fiercely independent. I also enjoy my own company.
