It's funny, when I bought that first Compaq, it had sooooooo much space on
it, 750 MB!  figured I would never use it all.  The hard drive died a year
in, under warranty and it was replaced with a 1GB because they didn't make
those little 750s any more, ha!
Within another year, I could see that computer wasn't fast enough as changes
in those years were made by leaps and bounds, so I got this Compaq in spring
98.  The 4GB HD seemed huge, but I filled half of it after some time, then
it started to die and I had it replaced with a 20 GB.  I'm utilizing 7.5 GB
of it now, simply because it's so huge, I found no reason to clean it
up....I *know* I will regret this.
So long as all the hardware holds up, I'll stick with this one.  It's fast
enough, big enough, compatible enough.  But I know I'll have to get a new
one eventually when this one croaks.
