I have that option with my Olympus too. I think it is more with the computer program that I am using... windows xp.
There is a tiny box to check if you want to delete after it downloads the picture.

Kitty, both my [Nikon] and Ms Fatma's [Kodak] transfer programs have the option of automatically deleting the pictures from the camera once the transfer is made. Are you sure yours doesn't have it somewhere?

the camera to the computer. Once they are on the computer, why would I
still want them on my camera? And then I have to delete them from the
camera one by one - tedious
Yes, I think most major retailers are doing that now. I know about WalMartYour kidding... you can email your pictures to walmart now... hum, didn't know that.
and Meijers; I'm sure Winn Dixie, KMart, and others are probably doing it
too. I haven't tried it yet. Check out:

Today you just email the files (from your hardrive) to WalMart and then go pick them up an hour later - and you can have WM make the CD for you. Floppies don't holdmuch when you are talkingpictures. Of course you could use a cross-overcable to another machine,...or use those mini drives... or.... OK- off to walmart with you and your new camera :) DonnaDoes she have a cd writer, though?
