Re: Pets and Bricks
Unfortunately, at least here in Georgia, it is impossible to enforce a
request such as that. I do have my egg-customer/pet rescue friend in my will
with an amount to go to our pets' care and for her own benefit, but was
told that she could, in fact, take the money and run. I know she won't, but
it would be nice to have something enforceable, like with children.
Sometimes I wish we took in dogs from a breed rescue, but it never seems to
work out that way. There's always some critter that needs help *now.
And the couple of times we've gone hunting for a pet to keep another dog
company, there's been a snafu. Like with Dreyfuss who was supposed to be a
Dachshund mix, about 25 pounds. Mix, maybe, but with a German Shepherd!
Hairy beast with a Shepherd build and length and short little legs. Or
Annie, who was also supposed to be a Dachshund mix. I was suspicious of that
from the get-go, since at 4 months her legs were about twice as long as they
should have been. Redbone Hound mix was more likely there.
