Figs

Didja see that piece in the NYT this AM about the discovery of the 11,300-year-old fig fossils near Jericho? Discovers think they were the first instance of humans specifically growing rather than gathering food. Makes me feel kinda connected to the ancestors of my four fig trees that fed the ancestors of my tribe.
