Sorry about my mixup with your name. It dawned on me today, in the middle of a movie, that I had messed it up. I'm so glad to know you are all right.

Zem, I think you meant Marge and me (Godi). I don't know about Marge, but my rain gage recorded almost 10 inches from Thursday evening until Tuesday. North of here, where Marge lives, a few more inches were recorded. A lot of people have wet basements and more serious problems. We have no basement, but a sunken living room. The power was out for a few hours, so I was bailing water from the sump pump for a while, when I got really sick of it, the power came on again. A lot of people weren't so lucky.
The reason why it could have been a lot worse, was that we had a minor drought and the soil was bone dry. (0.5 inches in March)
So, no damage here, thanks for asking.

I'm gladl Dan and Jim F. are all right during the floods, but I wonder about Marge and Dodi. Anybody heard from them?

I can't believe what I'm seeing on the news about the flooding back east. I
hope everyone on our list is still high and dry. It never seems fair that we
can't move all that water to where it's really needed!
Here in the desert I thought we were done with clouds and humidity, but
after a brief clearing this morning it's all back again. I remember June
gloom from living in L.A. but we don't normally have it here.
