My african iris (which came from your seed Jim) is up, but no visible bloom spike yet- it's still early though for us here. If you can post a picture of your walking iris I'd love to see it!

The walking iris [Neomaricas longifolia], which bloomed a month or so ago, is blooming again, just as the last bloom spike, now burdened with offsets, is bending to the ground. I think I need to take this plant out of its pot and plant it in the ground. Maybe later this week. I've also some African iris [Dietes iridiodes], which I "temporarily" potted up a few years ago, that I'd like to get back in the ground. Maybe I need to think iris on Wednesday or Thursday.Island Jim Southwest Florida 27.1 N, 82.4 W Hardiness Zone 10 Heat Zone 10 Sunset Zone 25 Minimum 30 F [-1 C] Maximum 100 F [38 C] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT
