Heard from Baker Creek again. They said the label was screwed up. I should had been Blauo Kazakstan, which they think is a purple or black tomato.

Kitty's deduction is right or close to it. I heard from Baker Creek
today and they said, in effect, they didn't know either but they were
trying to find out. I told them to please let me know as soon as soon
whether I should dry it and smoke it or ferment it and drink it. May
never hear from them again, but that's where we are in our current
pursuit of knowledge.

arrived today with a "gift" packet included. The gift packet is
labelled "Biave Kasachten". Anyone got any idea what they might be?
I've e-mailed Baker Creek, but haven't heard. Google drew a blank
[hehehe--Google suggested "Bijave Kasachstan", so I said OK, but it
drew a blank, too].
