RE: Hello/now vegetables/food refusal
Hmm- give me any veggies. I have stared a plates of stew, tuna cassarole,
brisket, chuck steak, meatloaf, and porkchops for hours. Ick- I think I
should've been a vegetarian-except that I also hate almost all beans (except
green beans) so malnutrition would be an issue.

I had the same experience...sitting night after night after night
suffering through my dad's yelling because I hated almost all
veggies...it usually took a couple or three hours before he just got so
p.o.'d that he'd order me to my room...whew! To this day, I am very,
very persnickety about what veggies I'll eat and how I'll eat them.
Turned out to be a good thing for my kids that I was working the evening
shift when they were all very little...my husband loves all sorts of
veggies and he fortunately passed this on to all three of them...there
is very little that they won't eat or at least try.

Well Mr. Island, I can tell you didn't have to sit at the dinner table
while all your siblings were playing until you finished the so-called
veggies on your plate. I would be there for hours while the typically
over cooked, unrecognizable globs turned stone cold. Then I would try
and choke them down because the dog wouldn't even eat them as I tried to
feed him under the table. "Suffering succotash" always had a deep
meaning for me.
