RE: Denver


I agree with Cathy, these are great locations!  Some of these places, you
wouldn't want to wander off on your own.  I mean, really, a vertical wall
may be a wonder to behold, but to climb it, wasn't for me without the nicely
provided tour ladder.  Besides, when we were there, many areas were
restricted to protect the wildlife, the ecology and the historical nature of
the dwellings.  We took the Mesa Verde/Cliff Dwelling tour, climbing the
ladders and ducking through small passageways with toddlers on our backs!
It was fabulous!

I do indeed, you will be heading to the southwest corner of the state, 
then north into the mountains to some of the old gold mining towns. 
Durango is really near Mesa Verde - well worth a side trip to see the 
Cliff Dweller locations.
