We haven't had deer problems with Knockout. However, they are in the front of the house, along the the front walk, which may explain the lack of munching, though I have seen deer track in the front yard....

Does it by any chance resist deer? That's the reason I have stopped growing roses, except for a couple of rugosas that they don't bother - Grootendorst Supreme and Blanc Double du Courbet. (Except for resisting JBs...they haven't reached my garden yet, so don't know!) It is truly a trouble free rose. Minimal blackspot, no mildew, continual bloom. Mine have not gotten bigger than 3.5 - 4 ft. I'm looking for the new double Knockout.
