RE: thoughts

Kitty's idea isn't bad.  Are the trees "silk" or plastic?  If they are
plastic, I imagine they will last longer outside than a "silk" variety.
Plastic is much easier to clean, of course, but if they really are realistic
looking, they are probably the "silk."  Silk doesn't weather that well.
Also, if it is realistic looking, could you selectively prune them/shape
them to fit your space?  (You may need a dab of paint here or there to cover
the "wound" when you cut.)  Either way, for $10, you really can't lose
either way!  Could you still "plant them" inside that side window?  It would
still block the view of the neighbor and the birds and the cats would still
see them.  Of course, there may be more space outside than in.  Why not try
them both ways?  Put one or two outside and one inside?  Talk about bringing
the outside in!  LOL!!!

You could try it, not much to lose.  Or how about cutting nearly all the
base off, securing them to the floor somehow, and adding mulch.  Make 'em
look like they are growing out of the floor.  You'd really have people
guessing.
and use the baskets for something else.
