I don't know which moths you are talking about, Karen, but we get those huge ones that look like hummers. They love the datura and the moon flowers at night. It is my understanding that they are grown up tomato worms or tobacco worms. The only thing they do is polinate those great night blooming flowers and lay more eggs. I like them enough to pick off the one or two tomato worms I get.

Does anyone get the Hummingbird clearwing moths too? If so, are they bad? I can't find any source that seems to think so, which would be nice because I find them bootifa!! Mine usually show up when the bright coral azalea outside my dining-room
window] comes into bloom. I hang pots of cherry tomatoes in the breezeway,
and have been surprised to see that they just love the tomato blossoms. The
feeder hangs beside the screen porch behind the garage, and whenever I go in
there for something they come and fuss at me to get out of their space - but
don't seem to mind when I am refilling the feeder.
