YES...he is a Canadian Goose. She looks like a South African Embden (not
sure, she just showed up at our place as a downy baby). I never heard of
that!! Really??? I was so hoping for some little babies to show up. And
geese mate for life...if this is the guy she chose....how sad.

but never hatch. There used to be lots of non-productive nests near the pond 
on which I grew up. Very sad for the couple, and hard on the Mom who kept 
setting, trying to bring off a hatch.
