Re: now speaking of fertilizers - Are we ready?


The Extension doesn't recommend spring fertilization of lawns -  
forces green growth at the expense of root growth. Of course, most  
people do it anyway.... If you are going to do it that would be the  
best time. I usually fertilize the perennial beds at the same time  
I'm planting things, but that is because it is convenient, don't know  
the "optimal" time.
