Thomas Jefferson planted red runner beans on arbors in his gardens at Montecello. It is said he enjoyed relaxing on benches placed under them.

Dwarf bush runner beans [is that an oxymoron?] are blooming. Pretty red and white flowers. I've two of them growing in a pot. If it blooms a lot it should be an interesting patio plant.
