Re: Happy Birthday Vera/catching up

Just a quick note before I'm away again. Helping the oldest daughter move over the next few days.
Hope your Birthday was happy Vera.
Aubrietta, plums & apricots in bloom, everything leaping out of the ground & unfurling leaves & my remaining dog is in heat. Won't that be fun while we're traveling? As if I would leave her home to the inattentive care of my son. I plan to keep her on a lead or in the kennel. Don't need puppies and the vet won't even consider spaying her until a couple weeks after her heat.
I'm so glad I only feed dry cat & dog food. What an awful thing.
Have you seen the info on the chemicals that mimic hormones (obesigenic) & stimulate production & size of fat cells? Seems diet & inactivity may only be a part of the obesity problem.
Jim your beans sound beautiful.
My brother planted an arbor of runner beans last summer. Purple & white blooms & purple beans. Stunning until powdery mildew set in. I'm sure I've lost many threads here. I enjoy this group so much & will miss hearing from you until I can touch base the end of next week. Hope everyone's weather is warming with enough moisture & nice gardening days.
