Re: there is hope

I started Indigofera kirilowii from seed last year quite successfully. They were just too small (4in pots) for me to want to trust leaving them outside for the winter. So I kept them in the garage (w some late Carex divisions & 6 tiny pots of species peony starts and one Jet Bead) The pots dried out and would not moisten up w more water; the water just streamed through them. I finally decided to bring them in to the cold back bedroom to slowly bring them out of dormancy. I soaked the pots for awhile to make them take a good soak so they'd be able to hold moisture again.

Just now I cleaned them up, disposing of lost leaves & debris. The jet Bead & most of the Indigo have some green buds or new shoots, so I think they will make it. The Carex is still green. And the peonies - Yes!, I see some eyes!

There is hope!
And I just started 40 more cells of Indigo a couple of weeks ago - all have germinated.

So far, photos don't come through. Congrats on the blooms. My first mini daffodil opened yesterday and there are fat buds on the forsythia. It's coming! ----- Original Message ----- From: <cornergar@aol.com>

Hope this photo shows up - maybe I have to do a link for this board
instead of an attachment or insertion.? In case it doesn't, I can tell
you that I have several glorious patches of winter aconite in bloom.?
Now if the sun would come out, maybe the buds would open!
