I drove from Key West to Memphis with six (6) cats including 5 carriers. I didn't aske permission for any of them to spend the one night in the motel -- just took five of them into the second floor room in their carriers. Nuisance, who made the trip sitting on a pillow in the passenger seat of the car, was carried in swaddled in a towel. He poked his head out ( a la E.T.) just at the moment a security guard was making his rounds. We simply spoke and moved on. I didn't have any problems at all.

Tell me... how did you deal with three cats, I mean? I drove from Sacto to WDC by way of Orlando with Wife II and a cat and as I recall, we snuck the cat into our room every night--I want to avoid that if I can.
