Re: Happy Easter

Donna, the reason bunnies lay eggs is from the "other" Easter story. It goes like this: Each spring the Goddess (Oester, Ishtar, etc) comes down the rainbow bridge to bring spring. One spring Father Winter was not done freezing the earth when the animals felt spring was due to arrive. The Goddess rescued a tiny bird, and took him south. The world grew so cold that the bird was turned into a bunny to keep him warm. When spring did arrive the bunny was so grateful that he layed brightly colored eggs to honor the Goddess. Well, anyway, that's a truncated version.
