I agree re the purple Wave petunias in particular -- they seem to be much more fragrant than the other colors. Meanwhile we just had a tad of late snow and it will probably not get above 45 here today. We have had a few touches of spring (including blooming trees and daffodils) but no 70s yet, and I'm ready!

The purple WAVE petunia have a great smell. I've been planting them every year.Bonnie ETN Zone 7----- Original Message ----- From: "Jesse Bell" <justjess01@gmail.com>To: gardenchat@hort.net Sent: Wednesday, March 31, 2010 2:49:26 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: [CHAT] Petunias Can anybody recommend an old fashioned, heirloom petunia? And where to find them or the seeds? I love the smell of them, but they all seem to be hybrids now and that takes away some of the scent. I love the LOOK of the "wave" petunias, and have grown them, but they can't beat the original fragrance. -- Jesse R.
