I'd like to know what rock that writer crawled out from under? Since
when has gardening/flower growing ever been thought of as "girly". And
what's the matter with that person implying there's something wrong with
being a girl anyway???? Uggh!! Good thing I don't live where you live,
Kitty, or I'd have been on the phone with the editor of that paper
giving them a huge chunk of my mind!!!!!!

The Living section of our local newspaper today had an article about
a
young man who has opened his own greenhouse and has done so well
that he
is expanding. I have to ask you folks, what do you think of
the opening
sentence? "A long-lived stereotype identifying plant and
flower gardening
as girly gets dirt in its face when Ryan Baker steps
onto the
horticulture scene."
