Theresa, I was so sorry to here about your kitty.  I currently have one with 
kidney problems and am giving her subcutaneous hydration twice weekly.  Also 
have one with a slow growing cancer.  He's on interferon.  I'm lucky I don't 
have a life! <LOL>
