New "High Voltage" picture

Had a horrific rain storm today, actually most of the day--and I don't think it's over yet. Anyway, two High Voltage hibiscus buds opened during the rain. So during a pause in the storm, I asked the short Turk to "Stand by Your Bloom" so viewers could get some idea of how large the bloody flower is. Donna has been kind enough to post the picture.

The reddish leaves in front of the flower do not belong to the hibiscus--they belong to a Jatropha gossypifolia that is situated in front of the hibiscus.
