RE: mulch NOW Names
This whole name thing is really interesting. All my sisters and I have
typical Catholic names- saints (my mother converted as an adult) Theresa,
Sharon, Mary, Kristin. But, my middle name is Claire- after my mother's
best friend. I always thought that was really sweet and love my middle
name. Funny we are talking about names and heritage, as one of the classes
I am taking is a Multicultural Counseling and we had to learn more about our
own heritage. I am Swedish, Norwegian, Irish and ??? I have learned that
the Swedish part have very distinct name patterns. The children take the
father's first name and add either "son" or "datter" to the end= this
becomes the child's LAST name. Seems confusing at first, but actually the
pattern makes it pretty easy to trace.

At least y'all got names. I was "Hodges Female" for several days.
Apparently, I was supposed to be a boy (although there was no such thing as
ultrasound so I guess my mom had a vision or something) and my name was
Jeffery Devon. When I turned out to be a girl they were stumped. Now I'm
Andrea Alane. I was telling Zem I think they should have gone with something
more daring, like my one of my ancestors named Texanna or something. ;-)
