Re: California trip/now rose cuttings

My hormone is old... so I used the #8 the strongest one. I hope that doesn't kill them off.
It is just an experiment so we shall see.
Thanks,
Tricia

I tried some rose cuttings last year and wasn't successful. That's the only
time I tried roses, but I plan to try again. As to your rooting hormones,
it sounds like you got a set I think I saw advertised in Charley's
catalogue. Were there instructions with it that said which one to use for
woody plants? If not, I would choose the middle one because #1 is most
likely for easy stuff and #3 for difficult stuff, and I think roses would be
inbetween. Sorry I can't be more helpful, I hope someone else will chime
in.

Kitty,
You do give me plenty of advice just maybe not on this trip.
I took some cuttings of my sisters roses. I put them in a plastic bag
with
a wet paper towel around the cut end. I bought some perelite today and a
clear sweater box. I plan to dip the end in my hormone... I have 1,2 and
3.
Which should I use and do you have any advice on this?
Tricia
