Re: Happy Birthday....

DH and I went to the Garth Woodside Mansion B&B in Hannibal, MO. The original owner, Mr. John Garth was a boyhood friend of Samuel Clemens and one of his inspirations for "Tom Sawyer". Clemens was a house guest there a number of times. Had a lovely dinner (they have a restaurant), and spent the night, sleeping in what they say is the most expensive bed in the midwest (a rosewood four poster with canopy appraised at $55,000!). DH was appalled that there was no TV -- I told him that was not what B&Bs were about. (I think he enjoyed the experience, despite the lack!) Came home and started weeding and mulching the swamp. Should take a couple weeks...
