Would seem sawbones lost face, however. Can't count that as inconsequential. All his chums--mayor, sheriff, game warden--will probably be noticeably circumspect the next time life deals him a petty annoyance. The only friends he gained are those Boobus americanus, whom he paid.

I believe the game warden will be doing things by the book from now on. I doubt the doctor and/or his wife will ever apologize. They are very arrogant, as well as stupid, people with more money than sense.

Glad we could help, but Zem, you were the one that kept doggin him. Good
work! Still, I'd like to see you get an apology, at the very least, from
that stupid doctor for your loss. And that Game Warden - he definitely
needs a dressing down from a superior. Anyone we can write to about him?

Things are back to normal again -- no more traps, and, of course, no more
Bocephus, either. He was the kitty who was murdered. The mayor is
freakingbecause he thought news of the stupidity around here had been posted on
somewebsite somewhere. I had to tell him the letters he got were from you
all -- hated to do it, but I couldn't feel responsible for his near heart
attack. I don't ever foresee any traps being used around here again.
Thanks, you all.
