Re: Jacaranda

Well, there is this tree in Beaufort, planted next to a single wide trailer, near a highway, and EVERY year people ask me what it is. It has these enormous clusters of lavender blooms. I think it may be a Jacaranda now that I've seen yours and I forgot about them until now. I could be completely wrong, but there is not another tree like it in Beaufort. I always mean to take a picture to send you guys for ID. Point is, where it is is a nice little hot microclimate. Maybe.......?
And I'd love some seeds as always.

It's got lots of blooms for a first-timer, Andrea. If it sets any seeds, I'll send you some. But you're likely right about it being too cool there, which is too bad--it's an attractive, feathery tree even when not blooming.
