Most people don't know what's toxic. I was hiking with my friend this
weekend and the datura wrightii, which is native here, is getting big. I
mentioned I might like to buy some of the more decorative types for my dry
garden and she was aghast - "but it's poisonous, they can't sell that!". And
I laughed. Oleander, castor bean, foxglove, narcissus, black locust...it's a
big list.

If our legislators only knew of all the psychoactive and downright poisonous
plants there are in flower gardens, they'd probably be worse than the plant
police. Can you imagine?
