Seems to me that I remember reading in a book about Ishi that he did lots of demonstrations using pieces of glass--broken beer bottles and the like.

From the pictures I've seen, the Green Panda is a pretty bamboo, Judy. It also seems to be a fast grower and cold hardy. Is it a runner or a clumper?
