Yes, I would have had the joints done a couple of years ago, but we were "between" insurance, since the company DH worked for went belly-up. 
I'm glad to have this opportunity.
Thanks for keeping it on your prayer list. I hope for relief of pain, someday. Just a walk around Costco to get some cat food today was agony.

Theresa - hope all goes well for your sister.  When my grandmother was in
her 80's they discovered a similar problem was the reason she went to the
bathroom so much, but Nana said forget it to the fix by then.  Glad they
caught your sister's problem sooner.  She's on my list too and have a safe
trip.

Did the doctor make that diagnosis after he went in? Does he/she know why
it isn't working. The only good news about this is that the recovery time 
after a replacement is usually faster than when repairing muscles.  I'm
sorry you are going through this.  When getting this last surgery on my
shoulder in February, I had an agreement with my doctor that if he didn't 
think it could be repaired, he would just close me up and we would
schedule
a replacement.
