Will you have a garden at your new villa? If you can send a picture! It is always exciting and scary to start over!

Hello to all. We are moving, too. We built a villa over winter, put our home on the market after closing which sold right away. We have scheduled the movers for 19 May and close on our home 1 June. I am ready! A triple fusion in my ankle has left me unable to maintain the garden and the big house with too many stairs is difficult to navigate. Hope you all have a wonderful growing season! Very good to hear from all of you. I am hoping that this will be the year I can finally start my garden renovations. Now that mu husband is finally recovering from his cancer, radiation, and all the complications and side effects, I am really looking forward to some soil therapy!

This must be the same place you moved from to Missouri? These sound like great ideas!

I am just south of Sacramento. I was in Missouri for 15 months and moved back here in late February. My husband is still stuck in Missouri, but hopes to get out soon too. The lawn is only about 20x20 feet. I have over the years converted all of the rest around the edges into garden. So having rock in the middle will be a nice contrast to all of the other lushness. I already converted one area of the garden to xeric plants (I call it my desert garden). In another area I just cut off all the fern and will be removing it. The entire garden is now converted to drip irrigation, except for the veggie beds that are microsprayers, and the small back lawn which I am keeping (for now). I will go take a picture! I have almost finished killing of the front lawn and week after next have hired someone to come remove it. I am also having them remove a pyracantha hedge along the fence that I am tired of being stabbed to death while pruning. Busy, busy, busy
