Thanks, Gene. That will take some time, I guess. It’s not in the best place. Perhaps I’ll pot it up. 25-30 years ago I bought 4 Japanese maples – two uprights (one limped along & died a few yrs ago) and two of a dwarf nature. The surviving upright is in a reasonably good location and going gangbusters right now. Of the short ones, Autumn Moon hasn’t fared too well because the location isn’t good, but it’s still there and I fear it’s way too late to try moving it. Orangeola has done immensely well – it’s like the Blob. Now taller than I, it’s a great hideout for the cats.
