Yep- Same story here. Rained again this morning, but suposed to be dry for
the rest of the week. I got out and "WOWed" my lawn (the parts I'm
keeping). For those who don't know- WOW is a natural weed and feed product.
Also, got around to Round-uping the rest of the lawn that I'm burying under
soil for new garden beds. I finally convinced my husband that we should
build an edge around the entire front yard with those "windsor wall" blocks.
So for the past few weekends I have dug the edge out to prepare to lay a
sand bed, and moved all of the sprinkler heads in 10 inches to make room for
the block wall. When finished the wall will be about 14 inches high. We
may do a second teir further in later, and then leave the top flat part as
lawn. I won't miss mowing the little hill all around our yard (we live on a
corner, so both sides slope down to the street).
Ahhh- at least the WOW and round-up is done. Check that off the list.
Theresa

Currently 52 and rain predicted from now to Wed.... like 2 to 4 inches
worth. Warnings on tv about making sure your sump pump is working :(
Last week the wind storm damaged a few things... so not looking forward
to any more nutty weather here.... seems it has been here all summer.
Although it has not started raining here yet, up in the city proper they
are claiming it is raining already.
Trying to get all the fall projects done, but with everything happening,
just seems impossible this year. Current situation is DH father, he is
in ICU.....so of course, I am running up there which is a two hour drive
one way.
And Gene.... save those pennies and invest in a hot tub... no mature
gardener should be without one! :)

Who has pretty much given up on the gardening for the year.....but hopes
to find the daylight time to do a few more things....
