My nephew (Army, not Marines, but...) wasn't able to pass his PT exam in
Basic because his legs were too well-muscled and touched the floor during
pushups. He had several tries and finally they gave him a different way to
do it. They passed him out of basic w/out completing the PT test and he had
to keep trying. They did this because they wanted to keep him. He finally
did pass.
