Couple of friends on the rarefruit list live in the south Miami area. One seems to be getting his power back today--been using a generator. Not sure about the other one. Also a third, who lives up near Canaveral, was without power for a long time--don't know if he's back yet or not. Woman in Naples got power back a week or so ago.

You are right Jim-- he is north and east of where it hit, so I am sure he
got some of the storm, but the news I heard, said it jumped the river went
into Kentucky - so hopefully he didn't get the worst of it.
BTW Jim- Originally heard that many would be without power from Wilma till
mid November-- are there still areas effected down there?

parts of Kentucky

Well best plan on doing something else today :)
Although the storm is long gone, sunny currently, but still windy here.
Heard about the tornado in southern Indiana, so that was a pretty
massive
storm range if you also got the weather from it Kitty. I checked the
map and
it doesn't seem like anyone here was effected- but not sure if
everyone is
ON the map....

Donna, we got it about 4am. Amazing winds, thunder, lots of bright
light-up-the-sky lightning. I got up and let the cats in. I had
shredded
a mountain of leaves last night after work and collected another large
pile. I'd heard rain was coming so I tarped them. The wind was so
strong
it moved some of my weights so some leaves got wet anyway. I'll haave
to
weight for it to die down a bit - still blowing to beat the band -
before I can go out and shred again.

Kitty - Sugar eats dry food and I sprinkle it on hers. But you don't
haveWest Nile up there, so the mosquito repellant thing isn't quite as crucial. At asaleprice of $6.71 per pound (my boys go through about 6 pounds a week)
thiswwould put me in the poor house, especially when you consider GA's exhorbitant shipping prices. Then I reread their page; it's asupplement.A serving is a tsp sprinkled on their food, which unfortunately wouldn't work for my boys because they eat dry food. Nestle is discontinuing the Friskies Special Diet cat food at the endof2006, but all stores around here have already removed it from their
shelves.
This was always the least expensive low-magnesium cat food. I need
low-magbecause at least 2 of my cats are prone to FUS. Sure, Nestle stillmakesthe Purina One FUS type but it's much more expensive. Oh well, if I
buythe 16 pound bag the price is a bit more reasonable.
